* Rob Bruendl gave a wonderful presentation of his volunteer work during the 2002 Winter Olympics held in Salt Lake City, Utah. Rob was selected as volunteer 183 and was primarily involved in downhill skiing, curling, and hockey. Hockey was identified as his main focus. Rob had an opportunity to ride the bob sled and he was able to view all of the hockey games as he wrote a study. The study was focused on why European hockey players had better puck handling skills than the North American players. It was evident that Europeans practiced four times to every game played, while North Americans played four games to every practice, therefore skill levels were not equivalent. The final analysis of the report was that in men's hockey that a player held the puck less than a minute during the course of a game. Rob also reported that security completely changed after 9/11.
* Meeting was adjourned by Deb Avery.
